Human Bricks
The bricks outside my condo seem to glow with an almost human quality. Like a hundred eyes looking at me while I'm outside. Connections plague me this evening. First and foremost, a song connection. Dancing Queen by Abba was blatantly ripped off by Elvis Costello with his magnificent song Oliver's Army. Two great songs. The piano part at the beginning of each compliment each other in a beautiful marriage. That was on my mind. That's about all I've got. Simpson's tonight wasn't terrible... in fact it made me cry towards the end. Love is beautiful. Stupid and beautiful. Pain and pleasure. Family Ties has the best theme of any TV show.
Arrested Development is also a great TV show. The intro music to that show is also quite splendid. The whistling in it is great. There's a great fansite for that show... www.the-op.com. If you like the show, check that site out. It has transcripts of the show. Reading is not as good and watching, but it's a good start. The writing is so smart.
So Jon-Benet Ramsey's father is running for office. Amazing. The man has some definite guts. I don't even know his political affiliation, although R wouldn't surprise me, given his financial standing. Amazing. He certainly loves the buzz-words. This is a man who hasn't officially been cleared of wrong-doing in the death of his daughter... And he could potentially be in office. Amazing. Fox News. Where is the liberal media I keep hearing about? And what was the point of tarting up a 6 year old girl to look like she was a teen? What's the point of a teen tarting themselves up to look like they're in their 20's? I don't want to play th scapegoat game, but it amazes me the way girls feel the need to look older... and then younger after they get too old.
The OC had it's season finale. It also made me cry. The last shot was of one of the characters sailing away in his boat (with-hold the Styx references). It was a beautiful image and I'll admit to being on the edge of my seat until the next season starts. Quality show.
Enough. I'm out. I'm lost. I've found an answer. How's this for pretentious?
